First Floor Studs :)

Brad stopped out at our house tonight to see the progress before the sun went down. Glick et. al is moving so fast, we're having a hard time keeping up! Here's some shots of the first floor and exterior with the second floor joists up.

Enjoy!

The ledger plate installed for the future porch.

To our surprise, all of the second floor joists were installed this afternoon.

Exterior view of the front of the house/garage.

View from the outside of the mudroom looking in..

Nice view of the entire first floor from the garage. Notice the ceiling/floor joists.

We can't wait to actually park in a garage - let alone a 3 car garage! Maybe Charlotte's in the market for a ride!? :)

Our house has 9' ceilings on the first floor. Definitely the right choice. An extra foot makes a world of difference!

Even though the staircase window is in the wrong spot, it sure will have a nice view when all is said and done.

View out the dining room window looking northeast. Not a bad view in the whole house! Can't wait to see what it looks like two stories up.

There is A LOT going on here. It's amazing that they can put all of this together from a basic set of plans!

Although a bit busy, this shot shows the entry closet and powder room doors from the foyer.

View from dining room looking into the foyer.

H-ee-ee-ll-ll-oo beautiful! :) Oh how we've missed you...oh wait, we've never had a garage to park in.

View of the house progress - looking southwest.

A cool view of the house from one of the lowest spots on our yard.  This area will eventually will be our mini-apple orchard.

A view of the sunset from the basement family room. I'm not sure how long we're going to be able to hold out on finishing this space. It's too good to go to waste. Looks like Brad have the first item on our "to-do" list! :)

By the way, our chandelier arrived tonight. It's even better in person. Looks more vintage than rustic which we love.

Stay tuned for more tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed that our meteorologists are all wrong about the 1"-3" of snow accumulation tomorrow. If they can lay all the floor joists in one hour, there's no telling what will happen tomorrow before it starts snowing.
